This past summer, we offered educators a new professional learning opportunity called Virtual Leadership Cohorts. This online experience replaced the 2020 Pre-AP Summer Institutes, canceled this year due to the covid-19 crisis. These optional, virtual classes were led by our expert Implementation Directors and National Faculty and had a maximum of 20 participants per cohort. Leaders met with their cohorts once a week over the course of two weeks, for 90 minutes each session.

The summer before implementing the Pre-AP program, leaders completing the Online Leadership Workshop will also have the option to join a Virtual Foundations Cohort. These live, virtual classes extend learning from the on-demand modules and provide an opportunity for educators to plan for their program implementation and collaborate with Pre-AP National Faculty and peers across the country.

The Virtual Leadership Cohorts extend learning from our Online Leadership Workshop. The table below shows a sample syllabus for the leader cohort.
