Pre-AP for International Schools and U.S. Territories
Schools anywhere in the world can participate in Pre-AP.
What are the benefits of Pre-AP?
- Listing in College Board’s official Pre-AP Course Ledger: Internationally respected, the official course ledger lets colleges know that your school has fulfilled all the implementation commitments for Pre-AP.
- Increased success with AP: Pre-AP courses were back-mapped from AP courses so that students could progress to the AP Program with confidence and an increased chance of success. Pre-AP teachers and administrators agree that Pre-AP helps students succeed in future AP courses. See the report.
- Pre-AP students more likely to achieve the College Readiness Benchmark: For both Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Pre-AP students were more likely to meet the SAT® Suite of Assessment benchmarks, which indicate whether a student is on track for college and career readiness at each grade level. - A robust menu of professional learning: The Pre-AP program provides digital access to the kind of professional learning opportunities that help you attract and retain the best teachers, coordinators, and administrators.
What are the restrictions when Pre-AP is taught outside the U.S.?
Due to shipping restrictions, schools located outside the 50 U.S. states are limited to digital-only instructional materials—that’s the only restriction.
