New Pre-AP Leader Professional  Learning

The summer before their first year teaching a Pre-AP course, teachers and at least one leader are required to take part in professional learning offered by College Board. There are two options to meet the professional learning requirement: the in-person Pre-AP Summer Institute and the on-demand Pre-AP Online Foundational Module Series. Both options provide continuing education units to teachers and leaders who complete the training.

Pre-AP educators completing the online modules will also have the option to join a New Pre-AP Teacher or Leader Virtual Cohort. These live, virtual classes provide an opportunity for teachers and leaders to plan and collaborate with Pre-AP National Faculty and peers.

The course-specific teacher modules can be completed in 12–20 hoursand support teachers in planning and preparing for their Pre-AP course. The leader-specific modules can be completed in 4–6 hours and support leaders in understanding the instructional design and program requirements of Pre-AP.
